Elf Shimmer Eyeliner Pencils Review and Swatches

Hi ladies!
Time for a review! =) In this case I'm going to review Elf's Shimmer Eyeliner Pencils

"Instantly brighten eyes with e.l.f.’s shimmering metallic liners that put the spotlight on eyes. The smooth formulation glides on effortlessly without tugging at the delicate eye area. Choose from an assortment of 9 delicious and essential shades designed to add depth, definition and a special sparkle to create a very glamorous look! Pencil includes a convenient sharpener cap for easy use!"

Review: the first shade I had bought is Black Bandit, a black with silver sparkles, and I fell in love with it!! It's very easy to apply, creamy, it has a soft texture and it's quite long lasting as eyeshadow base. So I decided to purchase some other shades.
My thoughts on these eyeliners aren't very positive if we treat them as eyeliners: they're not very smudge-proof and (on me) they don't write very well in the waterline, but they do their job in the lower lashline.

The colors are pretty, very pretty! Especially if you like shimmers... Another feature is their sharpener built in the cap. It can be very useful as it's obviously the same size of the pencils, but it can be a problem too because the pencils are very soft and the tip can be easily smashed.

Iconic Ivory is a pure pearl white
Blissful Blush is an antique pink
Boldly Bronzed is a coppery brown
Plum Passion is a deep plummy purple
Black Bandit is a pure black with silver sparkles

Overall: these pencils work very well as bases and in the lower lashline as they're soft and creamy. However they aren't so good as eyeliners as they tend to smudge easily because of their very soft texture, moreover they tend to fade in the waterline. Overall I'd recommend these if you're looking for some shimmer eyeshadow bases or if you want eyeliners to create a smokey/smudgy look because, considering their price, you can let the waterline fading pass...
